Governments have enacted legislation in this regard, setting ambitious targets in the medium term. A faithful reflection of this international trend is the Directive 2010\/31 \/ EU that promotes what has been called &#8220;nearly Zero Energy Buildings&#8221; (nZEB) or buildings with almost zero energy consumption.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>SIETEC<\/strong> project, proposed by <strong>Ingenium<\/strong> and the <strong>University of Oviedo<\/strong> responds to a real demand, contributing to the growth of the <strong>Smart City<\/strong> concept and the <strong>nZEB<\/strong> buildings, and favoring the achievement of the internationally set goals in terms of energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hr hr2\" style='margin:20px 0px 10px 0px !important;'><\/div>\n<p><em>This project has received funding from the Ministry of Economy Industry and Competitiveness and the European Regional Development Funds (FEDER), with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research.
