Developing a new project to improve energy efficiency in buildings
Our R&D team is carrying out an important project about the development of a system for the improvement of energy efficiency in buildings based on techniques of Cloud Computing, called SIETEC.
The commitment to energy efficiency is already a reality in developed countries. Governments have enacted legislation in this regard, setting ambitious targets in the medium term. A faithful reflection of this international trend is the Directive 2010/31 / EU that promotes what has been called “nearly Zero Energy Buildings” (nZEB) or buildings with almost zero energy consumption.
The SIETEC project, proposed by Ingenium and the University of Oviedo responds to a real demand, contributing to the growth of the Smart City concept and the nZEB buildings, and favoring the achievement of the internationally set goals in terms of energy efficiency.
This project has received funding from the Ministry of Economy Industry and Competitiveness and the European Regional Development Funds (FEDER), with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research. Reference: RTC-2016-4792-3
